Thanks for your interest!
I don't have any first-hand pics, but I looked around for some on the web:

The MSI Wind Bare Bones PC box:

The inside:

Mine simply looks like someone put RAM and a couple of hard drives in the case, but I'll try to grab a photo if I can.

The drivers for Windows XP are included on a CD ROM and installation was...well...a breeze!

Just an update.

The adapter brackets arrived so I was able to install the storage drive and button the case up.
My 16gb CF card (I mis-stated it as an 8gb) should arrive in a day or two and I'll rip the whole thing apart to install it at that time.

No joke there, you have to completely remove the motherboard to install the CF card for some reason. :!:
You can't disable the CF slot in the somewhat limited BIOS either.
Windows also assumes that the CF slot is the C: drive, so things get a little messy with the drive assignments.
I don't know if it can be disabled in Windows, but I'll try if I don't end up using it for the OS.

The 16gb RiDataCF I'm using is a speedy card so of course I'll try ghosting my windows install over to it to see how it does running Windows.

As a vanilla install with no tweaks I'm still really impressed with how this thing runs.
After I tweak it and set it up for server operations it should run even faster and quieter!

I'll have some time tonight after work to tinker with it.

Too bad no DVI or HDMI out, otherwise it would be great for a TV-side Media Center PC. Otherwise it looks like a great little box!

Indeed it's close, but everything I've read tells me the chipset/VGA isn't quite up to it.
I have some tinkering to do with it tonight so I'll see how it does driving the 1440x900 display.

Yeah, but I wouldn't really be throwing HD at it. Worst case would be high bit rate Xvid's of UK Top Gear episodes (525 lines), so less than 2Mbps. My Mini 9 seems to handle the decode and display of this just fine! And other pseudo-HD stuff like Hulu and Youtube and ABC.com and so forth. I think the Mini 9 would handle these just fine with a faster hard disk, something I assume will be resolved for me when I get my Runcore SSD installed, and this model with SATA 7,200 rpm drives shouldn't have that issue...

Certainly I understand it won't be decoding BD 1080p video any time soon...

Yes, having a fast HD does make a difference.
It's the only potential bummer about running a CF card as an OS drive really.

We'll see I guess.

I ordered the Intel Atom 330 board from Newegg this morning.. Upgrading my wife's old Dell machine with it. It was the last Windows machine in the house..

Dual-Core Atom? Cool!
Dropping it into a Dell case is cool too.

I didn't even realize they had the dual core solutions out. I just received the single core atom mb/cpu combo to put in a computer I'm building for my parents for Christmas. This sucks for me

Sorry if this is slightly off-topic, but somewhat related...I just saw this article in PC World Online about the nvidia Ion, a graphics card that works with Intel Atom. Interesting read... PC World Article
