Default DOS HIGH MEM SUPPORT - 04-05-2009, 06:13 PM

Just got a Mini 10 and tried two DOS boot, looks like there is a compitability issue with DOS high memory support. e.g. DOS=HIGH,UMB thing..
Am I correct? Does anyone got a confirmation or information on this?
Thanks

EDIT:
when a win98 boot disc load, Windows XMS driver gives following error message
ERROR: Unable to control A20 line!
XMS Driver not installed.

I have a USB Floppy so I thought I would check this out since no one else answered you yet. I have a few Windows ME boot disks and they loaded up fine...as long as remembered not to choose "with CD Support". At first I thought there was a problem, until I rembered there was no CD drives attached! So on second attempt, it loaded up, did not see the NTSF C: drive, so the utilty file were installed on virtual drive C: as always.

I did not have a WIN98 bootdisk, however I still had one usable WIN95B boot disk, and I did get the same error:

ERROR: Unable to control A20 line!
XMS Driver not installed.

But it did load after the error, and I'm sure the fdisk and format commands were ready to go.

You can always edit the command out of the config.sys file if needed.
