The Mini is the first computer I've personally bought from Dell.

I have an old Dimension that was bought off-lease that I use for testing.

My main computer is a home-built Intel Dual Core, but I have dual Dell LCDs for monitors. My home network is powered by an 8-port gigabit switch from Dell.

Inspiron 6000 - (~3 yrs old) - my main laptop w/ 15.4" screen. I upgraded the RAM to 1 GB, and the drive to 120 GB. I'm planning to upgrade the RAM again with two 1 GB sticks. Other than that, the single-core processor, ATI graphics card, and XP Pro work great for everything I do on it, including online gaming. Only downside is the thing being so (relatively) heavy at 6+ lbs.

I now have another Inspiron, on a diet , love my mini! I especially enjoyed showing it off to everyone at work...and even got the IT and ESA interested in it...they are considering downsizing the office laptops, which are all old and big/heavy, to something similar from Dell.

Lets see... I have 5 Dell 1900 series monitors 4 1905s and one 1907. 3 of the 1905s are on an Ergotron triple monitor stand that I use with my Mac Pro. I have a Latitude D420 laptop from work and a older Dimension 8300 desktop that is in the closet collecting dust. That thing is cursed. I will never run Windows on it again. Maybe one day I will resurrect it for use as a Linux box. And of course the Mini 9 running Ubuntu Intrepid with the Netbook Re-mix.

I have an Inspiron 5000, circa 1999 (which cost about $4000, new); and this here mini9.

I repaired enough dells while working through college that I refused to buy one for a looooooooong time. Until, last wednesday, acctually.

Like most people, my office is STUFFED full of various Dell Precision workstations. Mine is a 690... it is physically HUGE!

For work we have all Dell machines laptops, desktops and servers. We are testing the new Latitude E series. I currently have a latitude D810.

For home I have a older Dell desktop that I use as a file and print server. I cannot remember the model. I have a Studio 15 (1537) as my main computer. So far it works great. The only issue I have had is the media bar acts up and turns the volume on full by itself. I have a 3 year warranty and Accidental damage protection ( I have three kids and I know what they can do to a computer by accident ). Of course I also have the Mini 9. I have never had an issue with Dell machines and their support.

In fact I need to find some time to call them about the media bar issue.

Older Config: Dell Mini 9, Black, 1GB RAM, 8GB SSD, Windows XP Pro SP3 with all updates.
