Default Can I replace drive with SDD loaded with Windows 7 - 04-19-2013, 04:16 AM

I have a Dell Inspiron 17R (N7010) with Windows 7 installed on an 128 GB Kingston SSD I also have a Dell Inspiron mini 10 (PP19S) with Windows XP
Can I replace the hard drive on the netbook with the SSD and run the whole Windows 7 system there without any problems?

Generally not. When one installs Windows, it configures drivers for the hardware on that system. Simply moving a drive from another system will probably fail to boot. That and it's a violation of the Windows license agreement....

You may be able to do a "Windows Repair" to get it running, but you will have to re-activate Windows which may not work for an OEM edition of the OS.
