Default Oh Crap, I Bought An Aspire One! - 10-14-2008, 09:16 PM

I wasn't loving the space limitations of the SSD so I decided to get an Aspire One with a 120GB hard drive.

Each system has it's advantages and disadvantages, but at the end of the day I'd rather have the drive space.

My co-worker bought a MSI Wind on the same principle and he loves it. i also mentioned to him that if something happened to the hard drive in the mini9 I'm not sure how i will be able to get data off of it. Cant exactly pull the drive and run ontrack on it..... reminds me of another reason i need to get the new runcore drive... :x .... stupid college student lack of money

As for data recovery.. Every evening, plug into an external USB hard drive and use Time Machine.. (Assuming you're running OSX, hehehe)

I may eventually get my wife an Aspire One, she likes the pink one, it's a lot more pink than the Mini9.. I'd like to try to get the one without a hard drive though.

Tired of wondering if your Mini9 is doing ANYTHING? - Add a HDD Activity LED

I use a Dell Mini9 with OS X, 2GB RAM, 16GB SSD, 802.11n Airport card, and IrDA.
