Default memory cards size on 10v - 01-08-2011, 10:46 PM

my friend s got an asus netbook and when he uses a SD card , it fits entirely in it, I find it very anoying that with my 10v, the card is not completly in the reader and at least 1 cm is coming out of it...

I put a SSD in my dellmini and I would like to use a card for more storage. is there a different size of any card that could fit the reader perfectly or at least better ...?

no, the SD cards are all the same size, whether its the older standard SD or the newer SDHC cards....both are the same size, and a mini SD card will not work either, at least not without the adapter which brings it back to the exact same size as an SD card....SD cards only come 1 size, how could there be different sizes?....and still be standard for any application whether its a camera, printer, or a computer....they all have to be the same...sorry....

As you have found, some SD slots let the card go in fully - the Mini 9 is another of these - and some, like the 10v, do not.
