Default Remote Control - 01-12-2009, 11:39 PM

Hi, I am new to the mini 9 and to the forum and not to great with computers so detailed help would be great
I was wondering if there was a way to turn the screen on my mini on or off with a remote control, and if it is possible what kind of things i would need.
Any help would be appreciated.

Sometimes I fall asleep watching Hulu or a movie when its a little ways away from me on a table. A simple click of a button on a remote would be simple and easy so I wouldn't have to get up and put it in sleep mode once I got all comfortable in my bed .

Ok. All you need is a wireless keyboard with a sleep button on it.

If you have an iPhone or iPod Touch, you can try iTap

http://iphone.hlw.co.at/

It works well with my eee 1000HA. I don't have my mini 9 yet so haven't tried it with that, but I don't see why it wouldn't.
Works with XP/Vista or OSX

...or you could just get your lazy ass out of bed :P

I can't imagine that 8.9" screen being overwhelmingly useable outside of an arm's length.

That's a brilliant program. Really impressed with it. Got the full version if anyone's after it. PM.
