Default New Macbook air 11" - 10-20-2010, 09:54 PM

Am considering the new 11" Macbook air. Thoughts anyone ?http://store.apple.com/uk/browse/hom...ly/macbook_air

They are using flash storage for this one not SSD or HDD. Intel Core 2 Duo Processors.

I do remember what he said....
Mr Jobby Jobbs will have to eat his words.....
It certainly looks good. They are even doing a USB DVD drive too.
Works out very pricey indeed compared with other netbooks, surely Apple arnt actually listening too what customers want are they...

Very interested too hear anyones thoughts who is running OSX on a Mini ?

I believe they have taken it out of the enclosure and done something slightly different with it according to the video. Correct me if im wrong i tend too use them more than fully understand all the jargon !!!

Just like the Mini 9, eh? So they integrated it on the motherboard - I don't consider that an advantage.

The new "mac app store " they are releasing should be interesting.
You clearly know 10 times more than i do on the subject. im mainly a user.
On what you have seen about its spec, what do you think.? A very very expensive Dell mini ? Or what people have been waiting for.

It may well satisfy some people looking for a Mac netbook. The price is certainly better than before, but I'm disappointed at the now-"ancient" Core 2 Duo processors they're using. Couldn't they have stuck a Core i3 in that thing? Graphics are rather old too, though more capable than the Mini 9, to be sure. Prices are still too high in my opinion.

Thanks for your opinion. I am interested in what people think as i said a lot of people on here such as yourself and others can see through the flashy videos that apple put out. Thanks again. I believe that core i3 are now in the dell 11z . Im sure i read this in the forum somewhere

As with a lot of Apple products, it looks good and is an impressive feat of engineering, but do I really need it? =
