Default PS3 calender bug - 03-02-2010, 08:52 PM

Read in a paper today that 23 million PS3's have suffered from a weird bug which resets the internal clock back to the year 2000

I do not own one as I bought a 360 instead but luckily never had the old RROD

My question is does anybody have a PS3 which went mental on March 1st ?

Why would you ask that on a Dell Mini forum? Is there some relationship?

It only affected the Original PS3's. The slim PS3's were uneffected, lucky me

Yeah, it was a huge dissapointment comming from sony. Wasnt able to game for a whole night, mine went crazy. But other than that its the only problem that ive ever had with my PS3. Now my XBOX360 on the other hand is a mess. Im on number 3, due to RROD's. My current one doesnt seem like itll last much longer either, I'll have to make sure i get a jasper unit next time i send it in. But other than that I prefer my PS3 over all my other systems NES, N64, GameCube, Dreamcast, XBOX, XBox360, PS, PSOne, PS2, and Wii.

UPDATE

Phil, is this not an open "General Discussion"? LOL

Thankfully, my internet has been down since the northeast storm we had last week knocked out my connection. I have the original PS3 (which frankly is better b/c of PS1/PS2 support) and I hope Sony gets sued for their quirky problems that magically fry out hardware.

Why should sony be sued. What have they done? That is the first problem that I have EVER had with my PS3. But as stated before the works of Microsoft and the 360 always seem to amaze me on how crappy they are.
