I'm with most people...if it's hackintosh-able, then I'll get it immediately. If not, I'll choose between this one and a outlet mini 10v.

I've spotted some additional Dell PR photos here.

First side shot I've seen. Weird.

i hope it is. i wonder if the broadcom hd decoder will have mac osx support? hope so if not dual booting will have to do. i kinda like the current raised angle of the dell mini 10 with the 6 cell battery thou. seems like a good over all netbook.

Found this off an odd blog

Quote:
he XBMC development has the 70012 card working under linux and I can even boot my AppleTV into linux and get it working with the Crystal-HD though its still somewhat buggy. The XBMC’s devs are still working on the OSX driver for the card so it will be a while yet before we can use it under AppleTV OSX operating system.

One Netbook (10v) is enough for me. I would rather spend a little bit more for something that's just usable. How does Apple put a REAL C2D chip into a MacBook Air (or even just a MacBook) without any heat problem?

Special Intel designed CPU + low voltage CPU + copper heatsink w/fan + using the case to help dispel heat.

This is to accomodate the larger batteries without having to make them stick out like a giant tumor on the bottom of the laptop and angle the keyboard up.

This all sounds very interesting; but I think I will wait until they come out and are in use and several Miniforum members have posted comments about the good and bad of this new system before I consider replacing what I have.
As to the rumor that they will replace the 1010 and 1011 the biggest reason I would then have for upgrading is the fact that there would be little incentive for anyone to develop better drivers and upgrades for the 1010 and 1011.
I have been on the Mini merry go round long enough to realize things are not always what they seem to be. Plus I use several other systems besides my mini (1010) it is not the only system I rely on.
I am pretty content with my 1010; but I paid alot more than 299$ for it; so the price is very appealing. Of course what do you get for the 299. There's the rub. Still I will watch with alot of interest; but hold my comments until there is alot more information and facts to base a decision on upgrading. fdalbor
