Default Atheros Wifi Card Owners - Packet Injection Issue Maybe? - 11-03-2009, 01:12 AM

Okay, so I picked one up. It's an Atheros AR928X card.

Everything I've read tells me that it supports packet injection. And it seems to. However, I'm running into issues with it completely locking up the system. Specifically, I'm doing an aircrack fakeauth attack, and boom, completely lock. Only way out is to hold the power button down.

Here's the thing.. I've had it attempt to authenticate (albeit unsuccessfully). It's also locked doing the ARP replay attack as well.

Any thoughts?

I mean, the card works beautifully otherwise.. But I don't want to have to constantly lug my Alfa around either.
