Default Dell now offers the 13z in Australia - 10-22-2009, 03:41 PM

Introducing the new InspironTM 13z laptop. With long-lasting battery options, discrete graphics and an internal DVD drive, it’s surprisingly powerful for its size.

* Easily travels by your side at 1.79kg (3.9lbs) and under only 1" thin.
* Power up with up to 8 hours of battery life with the 8-cell battery.
* Get up to a 500GB hard drive and up to 512MB dedicated graphics.
* Experience true mobility with Intel’s ultra-low-voltage processors.

Price= $1,199 (yikes)

That'll buy you a 1.3GHz SU7300 Core 2 Duo with Intel integrated 4500MHD graphics, 4GB of DDR3 RAM, a 320GB drive, and an LED-backlit screen, all in a four-pound chassis that's 1.27 inches thick (Engadget).

Sold... assuming that it can run Hulu video. I have a Vostro 1500 with a C2D T7100 (1.8/667) that runs 60-70% CPU at full screen. No clue WHY it is so bad, but it is.

Get it to the states!

1,199 Australian Dollar = 1,106.64 US Dollar
1,199 US Dollar (USD) = 1,299.07 Australian Dollar (AUD)

That's still pricey! Gosh!

Yeah that is a pretty hefty price tag for what you get... a Vostro 1220 you get so much more (except HDMI... damn it) for same or less money.
