Default Removing the stickers - probably suggested before but... - 09-25-2009, 01:16 PM

My "Designed for Windows XP" finally got to me the other day and I tried to pull it off, unveiling lovely stick mark, so I put it back.

I just now tried to remove the marl, and no amount of damp cloths, alcholic wipes or just pureagress scraping would work.

However I just got it absolutely 100% clean by using the original sticker to remove the sticky marks! By repeatedly dabbing the stick part of the mini with the stick part of the sticker I had peeled off, the stickyness all gathered up and start to come off, the whole thing took me a matter of seconds.

Just an FYI

That is what I usually do as well... and if that does not succeed, I move on to use GooGone or something along those lines

I used mineral spirits, it cut through the adhesive like it was nothing. It also cleaned up the adhesive on the rougher underside of the mini when I removed the WindowsXP key and the refurbished sticker.

I used my thumb to remove the stickness. I nearly got a blister, but just gentle rubbing with your coarse fingerprints will do the trick. It took me about an hour, but only did it when I was using the Mini and got bored and rubbed it for awhile.

Hmmnn...that sounds worse than it really is.
