Default Using a 10v as a media center - 07-23-2009, 05:25 PM

okay, first off...I'm not well versed in video setup but I think I can stumble through this.

I'd like to use my 10v to play movies on my tv. I purchased a cable.....vga plug on one side and the three plug component hookup on the other side. Plugged it into my tv, put the tv on component input and got nothing. Tried switching display with the function/F1 button and still nothing. Tried going to display in the control panel and using the identify button to find the #2 monitor and got nothing. During all of this the tv says "no signal".

Any suggestions? What am I doing wrong?

FYI my tv also has a vga input plug. That is what I expected to do...vga to vga connection...but the guy at the computer store suggested vga to component.

Thanks for any advice!

The Mini 10v's VGA output does not also carry a TV composite or component video feed. Some laptops and graphic cards do have this, but not the Mini. Use the VGA connection.
