Default Inspiron 17 - 07-16-2009, 05:30 PM

Dell adds Inspiron 17 laptop to its lineup

Yeah, I know, 17 is big. But at a base price of $499, it's kinda interesting. Looking at the photos it looks like a big Mini. Another $100 gets you more RAM and a Core 2 Duo processor.

I had one,1705 model with the Nvidia 7900 GS

...which I sold to buy the Mini 9 after I built a gaming desktop

I dont see myself ever buying even a 15 inch laptop after that. My next one will either be a ION netbook (possibly) or a 13 inch notebook.

Those are huge.
I used a 9300 for years, 17" w/ 256mb go 7600.

I'm looking into pulling the trigger on a 1318 now. I love my mini, but these old eyes are having trouble later in the day seeing everything.

I currently have a 1720 (it's what I'm on right now lol) and I love the thing to death, but it is very big, and pretty heavy. After a semester of trying to lug it around, it was time for something smaller, so I just ordered a Mini 10. I'm still using this for gaming and music/photo storage though.
