Hi friends, I know that the mini 12 wasn't made for gaming, but it's always a good way to play some lite old games when we're awaiting in airport, etc. Here is a list of WORKING GAMES, tested in a 1.3 - 1.6 mini, with Windows XP SP3.

Playable

- OpenTTD [Link] (Old Transport Tycoon Deluxe re-programed): Working but only in windowed mode (all resolutions).(Available for Ubuntu too)
- Sim City 3000: Working fullscreen, max resolution is 1024x768. [video]
- WideLands [Link] (OpenSource clone of The Settlers). Working in windowed mode and in fullscreen only at 640x480. (Available fo Ubuntu too)
- Caesar III: Strategy/Building .Working at fullscreen, 1024x768.
- Battle for Wesnoth [Link] (OpenSource, nice turn based strategy game, similar to warlords or HOMAM) working in fullscreen. dunno whats the resolution as it cannot be changed, I assume something like 1024*768.
- PokerStars [Link] - Multiplayer Online Poker
- Pharaoh
- Stronghold
- Roller Coaster Tycoon 1 + 2
- Project64 1.6 [Link] ( Nintendo64 Emulator / all titles work, providing you find the .rom to download. ) (Some lag in fullscreen mode)
- Peggle
- Counter-Strike 1.6 WORKING VIA STEAM/SOFTWARE-MODE/640x480 ratio, 16-bit color fullscreen/othersize ratios work, 640x480 works the best.
- Znes [Link] - SUPER NINTENDO emulator. works! game files extentions are: " .smc "
- Quake I, 1280x800.
- Red Alert 2
- GTA 2 works perfectly in direct 3d mode, 1024*768, fullscreen
- Unreal I - Works! good framerate.
- tomb raider 3 playable
- half life playable in software mode.
- Age of Empires II: Working [how to]
- Starcraft - Fullscren mode, using "chaoslauncher" [info][info] [video]
- Diablo II LOD - Works windowed, direct draw mode. [how-to][video]
- Warcraft 3 & Frozen Throne 640 x 480 16bpp scaled Run good. [video]
- Quake III Arena - Runs well with 1007 drivers.


Non playable / low performance (some might run using the disable-drivers method)

- Age of Empires I: Don't load.DirectDraw error.
- Children of the Nile: Load but is unplayable.
- Diablo I - DirectX error.
- Ignition - Don't Load.
- Theme Hospital - Don't Load.
- Virtua Tennis PC - Very slow framerate.
- Populous: The Beginning - Don't Load.
- Fifa 99 - Corrupted graphics.
- unreal tounament 2004 almost playable at low setings with disabling harware shader and hardware tnl in ini file.
- Need for speed underground low fps.
- guild wars low fps
- counter strike source 10 fps forgot to try in directx 7
- dawn of wars almost playable
- dungeon siege 15 fps
- ice wind dale 2 playable but low fps.
- Medieval total war gold low fps.

My favourite: Restaurant City (sometimes I wonder if such game is too young for a 33 year-old guy...)

( Nintendo64 Emulator / all titles work, providing you find the .rom to download. ) I recommend Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Super Mario 64, Turok, GoldenEye 007, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, Mario Kart 64, MegaMan 64, StarCraft 64, and Yoshi's Story.... to name a few. Works great.

i'm surprise PJ64 works so well for you guys. Mine lagged and was at 60% frame rate, definitely unplayable

You are using windows 7 release candidate, this might be the issue

Don't know if its windows 7 or the version of the GMA500 driver that your using. could be either. I am using the Asus S121 GMA500 driver, version 6.14.10.1097. You can find it here: http://forum.pocketables.net/showthread.php?t=2474Only works with XPSP3 as far as I know. I did notice a difference in the quality of streaming content after installing this driver, could just be my mind playing tricks though..

EDIT: This is how I play the emulator, getting about 40-60 FPS. The Emulator can't really be played well at fullscreen, it does get choppy. If your willing to play in a window, It works great.

Thank you so much for starting this thread. Im about to start trying out some n64 games. Thank you for attaching the picture of your settings. Another game that works really will is Peggle.
