Default Compatible Games - 09-28-2008, 10:45 PM

http://wiki.msiwind.net/index.php/Windows_Games

This is a link for the wiki on compatible games for the MSI Wind. Even though the MSI Wind has basically the same hardware as the Dell mini 9, this isn't fully accurate, as the MSI wind has better drivers for gaming. Still, this is a pretty useful link for checking out compatible games for the mini 9.

******EDIT

Here is a link for another page with a list of compatible games. This one lists games compatible with the EEEPC. The mini 9 would most likely run exactly the same, if not better than the EEEPC for these games, therfore probably a slightly more accurate list than the above link.

HAVE FUN

Default Quake 2 - 10-02-2008, 01:31 AM

I got roughly an hour or so out of my battery playing Quake 2 hosting a wireless Weapons of Destruction Deathmatch.

My Mini 9 ran great and didn't even heat up like I thought it would. It just kinda hit it's level of warmness and stayed there.

I'm already using a mouse, but I think an external keypad or keyboard is warranted for comfort.
That and it's power adapter!

I am going to be testing out Mame on it this weekend. I never thought imaginable that the Mini-9 would even be capable of gaming. I am so happy that it is.

That link claims that Half-Life 2 will run on the wind. I almost shot milk out my nose. But wait... Will it...?

I may give Spore a go when my laptop returns from repair. Just to see how it runs.

Also might try Psychonauts with a XB360 USB controller. Will post how it turns out asap.
