Has anyone tried League of Legends on a 10v yet?

I Believe it uses the warcraft 3 engine ...

Hello all!

I just bought a mini 1011 (I believe that's a 10v?) yesterday. I love it. It has the Ubuntu OS (having to learn that) and Mozilla/Firefox browser (having to learn that too!!).

I play Pirates of the Caribbean Online with my son (who moved off to college). This is a great contact point for us, but I tried loading it onto my mini and it seems to get stuck on the login screen.

I installed Wine and then used it to install the game. I'm not savy at all on this stuff (yet!!), can anyone help??

You can find the game here:
Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean Online

Again, I can get the initial load/login screen to come up. But I can't navigate past that. I can put my login and PW into it, or even try and click on the different settings/options below - but it just stays there as if nothing had been done.

Any help for a newbie here?!?

I've had errors like this in other MMO games such as Rose Online.

You can try right clicking the shortcut, going into the compatability tab and checking in "Disable visual themes/Run this program as an administrator". You can experiment with everything in there and see if it helps. If not I'd have no clue.

Rogue Squadron 3D
functions quite smoothly as long as your shortcut path uses the [-s 1] flag to up the framerate by dropping the sound quality. If you can't figure it out, just read the readme file.

With the quality on lowest, at any resolution near the 800x600 mark, Arua Rose Online runs decently. Anywhere from 10-25 fps, with a bit of lag as you move to new areas.

Still playable. I need Rose on the go as I do development for it.

Hello..
Personally I always fond of games very much. I like to play different types of games when I am free. Thank you very much friends for giving list of games. You have done a good job. I will try some of these games for my DELL. Keep doing good work.

Doesn't look like Linux is supported:

Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean Online

Sorry :/

Cheers,
Charlie

Actually AoM works fine, but you have to run AoM in safe mode to enable lower than 1024x768 video modes.

Here is the text straight from the horse's mouth (Microsoft):

Method 3: Lower the Graphic Setting in Safe Mode

Start Age of Mythology in Safe mode, and then change the Screen Size setting in the game. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start, and then point to All Programs.
  2. Point to Microsoft Games, point to Age of Mythology, point to Diagnostics, and then click Age of Mythology - Safe video.
  3. When the game starts, click Options on the startup menu.
  4. In the Screen Size list, click 640x480x16, and then click OK.
  5. On the startup menu, click Exit.
  6. Start the game as you do normally.
Age of Mythology: You receive the "Initialization Failed" error message after the introductory video clip when you try to start Age of Mythology

I've tested this on my MSI Wind with similar specs to the Mini 9, and it works fine. Can't vouch for the 10's GMA500 card performance though, only the GMA950.

Cheers,
Charlie

I saw a couple of replies that mentioned emulators. Here is what I got working:
Stella (version 2.8.4) -- Atari 2600
RockNES (version 2.0) --Nintendo Entertainment System
Zsnes (version 1.42) --Super Nintendo
Project 64 (version 1.6) --Nintendo 64
Fusion (Version 3.4) --Sega Master System/Genesis
Mame32 --arcade
MameUI32 --arcade
Nebula (version 1.0a) --CPS3 arcade (awesome performance)
ePSXe (Version 1.6) <---Playstation 1 (looks awesome)
Frodo (Version 1.4a) <---Commodore 64 (looks hilarious)

Footnote - yeah, I know there are newer versions of these emulators.
