i'm running wow to wotlk off of a SDHC card (16gb sandisk ultra II).

when SSD prices drop i'll get a runcore 64gb, but right now i have the stock dell SSD.

i get a solid 11 fps in cenarion hold. little more in vanilla warcraft.

is GMA booster worth it?

i just use it when i'm on the road to keep up with AH, etc... but i like to tinker.

It's not a huge increase but it does work. I felt a tiny increase in performance.

I gave in and installed WoW+BC+WoLK on my 10v today. I've only been in Dal and out to do the fishing daily. It ran pretty well. I may consider doing a bit of questing on my 75 or 11 on Saturday when I get dragged to a linux fest. I run xp and do have all my settings on low, but plan on turning a few up later. Mainly the sparkles so it's easier to find stuff. I even have a bunch of add-ons installed I have all my raid add-ons off, but I hate them and only use them on certain characters to party/raid. Until I get 2gb of memory into my piglet I don't think I'll be trying any 5-mans, but for now it runs great. Able to do my dailies and check the AH in Dal.

Has anyone tried install onto SSD? or Runcore?

Im planning to buy it if its a good upgrade. But I dont want to waste 100 dollars doing it.

MY .02:
I only had expriences with SDHC, really slow. Dal 1 fps (im guessing its the transfer rate from SDHC to Computer)

5 mans 7~10fps
10 mans 2~3fps
25 mans 1 fps

TIP:
in your config.wtf via "C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\WTF"
Open with wordpad
SET gxColorBits = "16" (instead of 24)
SET gxDepthBits = "16" (instead of 24)

This should help it.
Tuan.

Well it also depends on the OS you're using. I'm using an nLited XP SP3 version. I probably won't install Windows 7 on this one because XP flies on it stripped down.

Also, how many programs you run as well would definitely eat some FPS. If you do get it working, just do the auction house or a fishing/jewelcrafting daily or two. I don't recommend questing with it as the small screen is quite hard to play on. (I'm damn near blind.)

How do you get WOW to install on less than 2GB? A couple people I know had to upgrade to 2GB before the installer would continue.

Dalooter, Thorsteenster means the RAM.

You don't install WoW, you just copy the folder over. WoW is one of the few games that you just dump into a directory and run. It also repairs itself! I wish more programs/games were like it!

And I ran WoW originally off a 16GB USB Flash Drive but that isn't a good idea, so I switched it to a external USB 2.0 HDD.
