I have Rollercoaster Tycoon 2 for windows. Is it possible to transfer it to a flash drive and then use it on my dell mini with ubuntu? My mini has 1 gb of ram and a 32 gb hard drive. Thanks in advance.

No. You can use emulators like Wine though to possibly run the game. Or VMWare to run Windows.

From my understanding you would need alot of memory to play that game, but it might run slow unless you have at least a 32 or 64Gb SSD. Your video card should be up to date too.

That is a great game by the way

Rollercoaster Tycoon 2 shouldn't be a problem. Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 would be an issue because it's got a lot of 3D graphics.

It looks like you can run it under Wine on Ubuntu. Directions are available here.

As for system requirements, they're listed as a PII 300 with 64MB of RAM. So as long as you have the HD space to install it, it should run quite well on the Mini.

The game runs well on the mini under windows. Not sure though WINE though.

I have it installed to an SDHC and I haven't updated my drivers yet. (Just Installed Windows 7) It runs just fine.

I do have 2GB RAM though.

I can't get this game to launch on my Mini 9. I have XP with SP3 installed. Whenever I try to open it, the cursor shows the loading cursor for just a moment, then does nothing. Same for the task manager processes. rct2.exe opens for just a moment, then disappears off the list.

Help?

I got mine running fine without really a hitch. Here is a link to a troubleshooting page that might help you out released by Atari to fix a whole bunch of bugs.

http://www.atari.com/us/support/newfaq/ ... splay=MAIN

If this doesn't work, you should try reinstalling it.

...and if your mini is fairly new...maybe it has something to do with the new graphics chipset?
