Default Dreamcast emulator on Dell 9? - 01-22-2009, 11:09 PM

Might sound improbable but i've seen it worl on an EEE 901 so tried to get it to work on my 9. So far though it doesn't. Boots ok with Chankast Alpha025 1.4.7 but the graphics are dreadful but still show what loook like the untextures models on the screen. Has anyone got it working on their and if so, any advice?

Thanks in advanced.

I know this doesn't contribute anything to the OP, but I still have my Dreamcast. Been thinking about getting rid of it.

I would think about checking out NullDC or Makaron or even DEMUL for Dreamcast as they are all much more advanced Dreamcast emulators than Chankas. I should have my A90 in a couple of weeks. Will try them then.

Default DreamCast nettop! - 05-28-2009, 06:42 PM

I still have and use my DC and when it shits the bed on me I plan on shelling it out and making an Ion based Nettop out of it similar to this one Dreamcast PC features Blu-ray, nostalgia for the late 1990s. It will be a fun project and a nice way to have my DC live on!

Wow that sounds like a neat idea. I'm looking forward to an Ion-based Netbook as well.

Since Dell Mini 9s are now a part of netbook history... :-(

P.S. To answer the original question, it is highly unlikely a DC Emulator will work, but I'll check into it as well!!

My thoughts:

I have 5 Dreamcasts, and after using every emulator ever, it occurred to me that if you wanted to play Dreamcast games at full frame rate, get the real console.

I will never get rid of my dreamcast. In fact, I've got a pIII laptop waiting to become a new PC-DC server.
I'll look on some of the old forums for emulator tips, but I won't be able to test until Dell gets their act together and actually ships my mini
