I have just tried a second known working 2GB memory stick and this does not work either in my Dell Mini 10v. When I try to book I just get some beeps and nothing on the screen. I have tried both a Kingston PC2-5300 and a Samsung PC2-6400 stick - both work fine on my other Dell laptops. Using CPUID the motherboard is showing as model CN0Y53 revision A02. The chipset is i945GSE revision A03 and I am running BIOS A02. Could someone else with a working 2GB upgrade confirm their motherboard revision please? - Simon. |

I'll be tearing my 10v apart again later on, so I'll get a closer look at everything when I do. I wonder if it just has issues with some RAM. I used the Crucial stick I pulled from my Mini 9 and had no issues though. Triple Boot Guide - 10v RAM Upgrade Videos - mechdrew's OSX guides |

I now have the 2GB ram upgrade working with the A03 BIOS and a new 2GB stick. - Simon. |
