| Junior Member Posts: 16 Join Date: Mar 2009 Location: USA | Although it is not simple there is a way to actually boot from an SD card. You can either 1) Use a USB card reader... (USB devices are seen by the bios as bootable devices...) 2) Or add additional modules to the kernel of your OS (with linux it would be easier I guess) and use grub to boot. If you are still interested and know how to mess around with your OS here is a post where I discuss the details for two linux distros... and soon I hope to be able to dual boot windows and ubuntu (windows installed in the internal SSD drive an ubuntu from the slot reader) booting-from-sd-card--t615.html Best, p.s.
