I can't click partition because the drive is not listed. I am going to return it.

Yeah, at this price, I'm not surprised they're half junk. Probably soldered together in China by a 10yr old girl.. The good news is MyDigitalDiscount seems to be a pretty good company about making sure the customer is happy. Maybe, given enough time, more manufacturers will start offering these for our Mini's.. Well, that, or the next generation of Netbook will use something more standard.

I am thinking of switching my order to the 16 Gig SLC tomorrow. It is from the same manufacturer as the 32 Gig MLC so I assume the controller is the same as well and should allow for sleep to work...

Please please benchmark it if you do that. That will be hugely helpful to those of us deciding MLC or SLC in the future.

usb legacy support in bios to disabled,

usb wake on lan to enabled.

still doesn't work.

do i need to re-enable hibernate too?

No, you don't need hibernate. What happens when you try to sleep? What happens when you try to wake up? Are you using the latest version of the Type11 method?

i'm using the latest type11 method.

when i close the lid, nothing happens.

when i click sleep on the menu, it sleeps for 1 wink of the lights and then comes back again,

then the sound doesn't work. everything else works fine.

fresh install of osx, updated to 10.5.5

Sounds like you have "Wake on USB" enabled in the BIOS. Turn it off.

so i turn it off?

i'm confused.

here, -after-type11-install-32mb-mlc-some-problems--p5665.html

it says legacy off, wake on,

so now its legacy off, wake off?

thanks for the help

marc

edit - it now works if i select it from menu, but no joy if i close the lid.
