Default 2gb Ram upgrade - is this module suitable. - 02-21-2009, 07:39 PM

I am looking to upgrade the ram on my Dell Mini 9 - the Crucial UK website selector give 2 options

- Part #: CT885015 • DDR2 PC2-5300 • CL=5 • Unbuffered • NON-ECC • DDR2-667 • 1.8V or- Part Part #: CT897995 • DDR2 PC2-6400 • CL=6 • Unbuffered • NON-ECC • DDR2-800 • 1.8V •

However, a pc hardware website lists another Crucial stick which is £3 cheaper and the code is: Crucial 2GB DDR2 667MHz/PC2-5300 Laptop Memory SODIMM CL5 1.8 V Unbuffered Non-ECC manufacturer #: CT25664AC667

WILL THE CT25664AC667 module work ok ??? I need to order other stuff so i might as well save £3 and the postage if it works!!!

Yes. As mentioned on the first page of the 2GB RAM Upgrade Guide: 2gb-ram-upgrade-guide-t78.html the crucial memory with the part number: CT25664AC667 will fit in the Mini.

I purchased it from Crucial in October 2008 and it has worked fine.

We locked the 2gb thread for a reason. Do not start new threads about this.
