Default Retro fit bluetooth - 10-18-2010, 02:59 PM

Im thinking of retro fitting a bluetooth module to my mini10v. I have the bios option to do it.
Am i correct in saying that i can just lever off carefully the palm rest and install the module (with battery off ) rather than remove HDD and keyboard. I have removed the palmrest once already to locate the position.
Once it was fitted i was going to switch on the bluetooth in bios then download the said driver recomended by the supplier of the module for the 10v. Then re start comp.

I read up on how to do it through this forum. rather than ask many questions RE bluetooth, thought i would get familiar with the procedure first then ask !!! As i wasnt sure if i needed to remove the HDD for any reason.

He who asks looks silly for a few minutes. He who stays silent looks silly forever

Thank you very much....It does say to remove HDD and keyboard so best i do it. Just wondered if that part was really req, as it appeared to only help remove the palmrest ? Im only fitting bluetooth as the iphone 4 tether needs it as i dont fancy carrying the usb lead with me as i only tether on the odd occasion.

thanks for your help
