Smile Windows 7 is not activated? - 03-30-2010, 10:00 PM

i have installed W7 onto my mini 10v. it worked fine for like 2 or 3 months then it started saying that its not a genuine copy of windows and asked me for my product key. I put it it, it worked then when i restarted the netbook it asked me for the key again.

is anyone else having this problem?

I need help!

Well, is it genuine? Where did you get Windows 7? There was a recent update to Win7 that enhanced its checking for various ways of getting around the initial checks. I think one of them was the way of using an upgrade license for a full install. You could remove that update BEFORE it triggered, but not after.

well surprisingly, the problem is that your copy of windows is not genuine. i'd probably head back to the pirate bay and read some of their comments, you're not likely going to find much help around here.

FYI: Not trying to be rude or anything but on this site they frown very heavily upon pirated/non-genuine software of ANY kind...I would try to refrain from making comments like that on this board as where it can only lead to trouble.....I am not a mod but I am a mod on other boards and I would just keep my source of software to myself...

Well, I am a mod here and I agree that we do not condone nor support use of pirated software here. Thread closed.
