| Junior Member Posts: 2 Join Date: Nov 2009 | Thanks for this - I've just installed SL on my Mini9 having trawled through the forums for days, and successfully created a custom install mpkg. I though that was it until I then delved into the development forum I found all these extra steps, but it takes some time - and it's not always clear if they do really work or not - I'm still confused about the sound fix, and not sure if I should have bluetooth enabled or not. Perhaps the faq's could be updated to point to this thread as a post install/customisation step? G |

Regardless of 9 or 10v you'll want the LCD subpixel fix and speedstep, they both work. About this Mac is purely cosmetic but it works on both 9 and 10v. Sound is an issue, exactly what problems depends on if you've got a 9 or 10v. If you have a bluetooth card turn it on in the BIOS and disable USB legacy support. If you don't have a card you most likely will be able to enable USB legacy support and disable bluetooth. You can't enable both, its unstable for practically everyone. Hey bsop, I'm getting ready to do the speedstep, did you use kext helper or just put it in extras and run updateExtra? Kext Helper looks pretty good, but need to find out if there are any foreseeable issues with not keeping all modified kexts in the extras folder.
