Yeah, I thought the same thing. Confirmed that it does not work.

What about the 'about this mac' showing unknown?

I lifted this bit from a post over on the general OS X discussion. Don't know if NBI installs this or not (or runs it or exactly whatever it takes.)

You need an app called AboutThisMac.

You can get it here-
Downloads | OS X | mechdrew

It can also be fixed by creating/editing a SMBIOS.plist in /Extra
Good idea with categories...I'll work on consolidating. Got to research html code for color

EDIT: Consolidated all in first post with color codes. If I made any mistakes in assignments to categories, let me know

Throttling. Useful for low-load working to extend battery life. Together with SpeedStep controlled through CPU-i. Easy install howto here.

Would it be desirable to have CPU-i included in NBI?

Thanks for this - I've just installed SL on my Mini9 having trawled through the forums for days, and successfully created a custom install mpkg. I though that was it until I then delved into the development forum

I found all these extra steps, but it takes some time - and it's not always clear if they do really work or not - I'm still confused about the sound fix, and not sure if I should have bluetooth enabled or not.

Perhaps the faq's could be updated to point to this thread as a post install/customisation step?

If you have a 10v the restart after sleep fix is something you want, it works. Regardless of 9 or 10v you'll want the LCD subpixel fix and speedstep, they both work. About this Mac is purely cosmetic but it works on both 9 and 10v. Sound is an issue, exactly what problems depends on if you've got a 9 or 10v.

If you have a bluetooth card turn it on in the BIOS and disable USB legacy support. If you don't have a card you most likely will be able to enable USB legacy support and disable bluetooth. You can't enable both, its unstable for practically everyone.

Hey bsop,

I'm getting ready to do the speedstep, did you use kext helper or just put it in extras and run updateExtra? Kext Helper looks pretty good, but need to find out if there are any foreseeable issues with not keeping all modified kexts in the extras folder.

I just put SpeedStep on mine today, just put them in Extra and then run UpdateExtra. Works like a dream, my 10v is much cooler.

I used Kext Helper, because the last few times I used Update Extra it hung for a long time.
