0.8.3 RC4 seems to have all the same issues for me as RC3 did.

* USB Legacy continues to reset itself to Enabled every time the kernel loads
* AppleAzaliaAudio was supposed to be fixed and perfect now, but I still have no audio on headphones

10.6.2 seems a little quicker than 10.6.1 for me. That's the only difference.

Can someone help me out with this?

download and rerun rc2, tell it only to create a new dsdt, dont have it install anything else. Then reinstall rc4, it is a known bug that rc4 will not create a DSDT.aml, which is why your bios keeps resetting.

meklort has stated that audio is not a priority until after 8.3 final is released and he starts work on 8.4. I had a usb audio dongle that i used with my old laptop since I broke the audio jacks on it. So I just use the dongle if I want headphones. If you are desperate, install VoodooHDA, but don't expect anything magical since most people report that the sound quality is crap.

yes, run NBI rc2 or rc3 to create dsdt.aml then rc4 to update it. Should fix it

I did precisely this - before running rc4, I ran 0.8.2 as instructed in another thread, only installing the dsdt.aml file. There was no change. When I installed rc3, I first deleted the dsdt.aml file and then ran rc3 to generate the file. It still resets USB Legacy to Enable every time the kernel starts.

Can someone maybe send me their dsdt.aml? I have a Mini 9 with Bluetooth, 2GB RAM and 32GB Super Talent SSD. Don't know how much of that matters.

Or is there something else I can do here?

why did you delete the dsdt? save it, rename it to DSDT.aml just for good measure, then copy it to /Extra. the actual dsdt shouldn't change between releases

Don't delete the file you made with 0.8.2 that's why you ran 0.8.2 in the first place. Then you can run RC4 and it will generate a more up to date (with more fixes in it). The bug with RC4 is that it won't make a dtsl file unless there is one there already.

Sorry, I wasn't clear - under the dsdt generated with 0.8.2, it still resetted Legacy BIOS. Under all the dsdts generated with 0.8.3RC*, it still resetted Legacy BIOS. It has resetted Legacy BIOS with no changes since I installed Snow Leopard.

OK, now I understand what you were trying to say. That just seems so odd. Part of the magic of the dsdt file is that its supposed to save your BIOS settings from restart to restart.

At this point I'd say the only option is to reinstall OS X

Good news is that the Archive and Install option will save your old user account and all its stuff for you. Works rather well along with the migration assistant to save you tons of work vs. starting completely over. Doesn't save you from all the work but like 95% of it at least. Not to mention the time/effort of the reinstall, but its something.

Hopefully some one else can offer a better suggestion.
