Found it at insanelywind and asked myself, if it's also practicable with our Dells...

1. Download the 10.6.2 update from apples website http://support.apple.com/downloads/D...XUpd10.6.2.dmg

2. Before running the updater, go into terminal and type

sudo cp /mach_kernel /mach_kernel_10_6_1

3. Run the installer, but DO NOT restart

4. Type the following into terminal
Code:
sudo cp /mach_kernel /mach_kernel_10_6_2
sudo cp /mach_kernel_10_6_1 /mach_kernel

5. Run any tools you need to patch your kexts etc. (For Dell 9/10 = NBI 0.8.3rc3 should be the choice).

6. Restart & enjoy!

I haven't tested it yet - first I'd like to know what you think.

Pretty sure all this does is use the old 10.6.1 kernel, and the big thing that breaks Atom in 10.6.2 is the kernel. That being said, look in the main thread for this discussion.
