Default Upgrade disc OSX - 11-10-2009, 03:52 PM

right seem to be having problems, can you install using "OSX.5." Upgrade disc, it's the purple and black copy but instead of "retail" it says "upgrade", get to the instal stage then get a panic "Mac OS not yet set" and the "restart computer" grey filed message over that.. hmm

any one done this install with this type of disc? I know apple OME wont install but will this type work.. worked on a PPC iMac so it's cross platform on Apple..

thanks

That one is not a retail disc, it is a drop in update disc, OEM.
