It's not the 10.6.1 kernel, its a binary hacked 10.6.2 kernel to add support for atoms.

Understood that it is a hacked .2 kernel. The question is does the hack enable full .2 kernel function for the .2 OS?

If not, then does the hack neuter the .2 kernel to the extent to which it is the same as using a .1 kernel? If so then there is no difference right?

Reading through this I'm confused, is there now two ways to get 10.6.2 working?

i. Use Tea's bit hacked 10.6.2 kernel
ii, Use netkas's updated sleepEnabler kext from netkas.org MacOSX 10.6.2 Released

Am I missing something?
Cheers

From what I understand, if you use Tea's 10.6.2 kernel in conjunction with SleepEnabler.kext, then it should work. But then again, I'm still running a copy of Leopard, so I haven't done anything with this yet.

AppleHDA.kext 32 bits for ALC268 works in Snow 10.6.2, support the next things:

Speakers/Headphones with autosensing.
Mute
Ext Mic with autosensing.

Tested in HP DV9000 Series laptop.

So this should add full audio support for the Dell Mini9?

I´m not sure but even the Mini9 have ALC268 Audio codec, you can try.

It does appear that the mini9 uses ALC268, however I only have a 10v so I can't test it myself. Maybe someone else who has one (and knows what they're doing) can test it.

Without a way to boot the install DVD/usb, or a bootable backup you're pretty much screwed. Sorry.

On the off chance you're dual booting windows/linux/something that can read a hfs partion, you'd be able to do it from there using the kernel I linked to somewhere back in the thread.
