Default win7 driver for dw1520 super wireless-n card - 10-27-2009, 01:04 AM

Hi again folks.. so I've got another issue. Didnt realize it until just now when I was trying out wireless after doing a complete win 7 rebuild on the 11z. Everything is working but I had opted to get the 'N' wireless card (dw1520). Has anyone else gotten this? If so, does anyone know where I can go to get the drivers for card? I can't seem to find it on dell's site anywhere and searching around hasn't led to anything either.

If you know where, please send me the url if you don't mind, thx!!

windows 7 should already have a driver for it. i put it on the 10v i have which has the upgraded N card and it had a driver for it off the bat.

edit: actually the 10v has a 1510. not sure about the 1520 then. try the vista driver off the driver cd, most vista drivers work in windows 7.

I'm in the same boat. I just upgraded to Win 7 using the upgrade DVDs from Dell and now my Dell DW 1520 Super WiFi card doesn't work. I tried getting the driver from the Dell site, but couldn't seem to find it.

Does anyone have this driver or know where I can get it?

Thanks.

Latest Broadcom 943xx Driver - NVISION

AFAIK, All Dell Wireless 15xx 802.11n WLAN Mini-PCI are Broadcom chipset equipped and use the unified Broadcom WLAN drivers short of the Dell Wireless 1525 which is Atheros...

Ok, I called Dell Support and they gave me the link to the proper 1520 WiFi Card Driver. Here it is:

http://support.us.dell.com/support/d...&fileid=328220

I installed it and it seems to work fine.

Glad it works but v5.30.21.0 you linked to is an older Broadcom driver than the latest Vista/Win7 version I linked to above
