Not a direct answer to your question . . . . but related good news: AppleInsider is now reporting that the latest build of OSX 10.6.2 does, indeed, work with the ATOM processor.

There are just a few more bugs I want to fix before I release 0.8.3 (safe mode, make sure 10.6.2 works, etc), and then It'll be out. I haven't changed any audio stuff since 0.8.3 RC3.

Does this indicate that we will not get any audio fixes for the mini 9 in the next release?

A couple of requests for the final version, don't know if you've considered them or not:

1: include "mirroring" like you did with dellEFI. It's a useful tool and going back and having to extract it from DellEFI is the only way to get it now.

2: Consider adding the VooDooPowerMini kext so that speedstep is enabled. I've verified that it works on both my Mini9 in 10.5.8 and my Mini10v on 10.6.1, I know others are using it as well.

3: can you also include the edits/etc that make the menu item to turn the bluetooth on an off? Again, you can hunt it down in this forum and get it to work, but the beauty of the installers and boot makers is that it's doing all of the heavy lifting for people.

Great work, I've been very happy with both my 9 and 10v and all of your work has made it so much easier. The machines make great "mac's" and get quite a bit of questions when I'm flying on airplanes, especially when I sit down next to someone with a Mac and they see what I'm doing. They are quite the conversation pieces!

I think Meklort can't add the speedstep.kext to NetBookInstaller, because he has not written the code.

Am I right?

Thank you, Meklort, for your work!

I'm very excited how you can improve audio for the mini10v and mini9 for the further 0.8.4-releases Thank you so much!

If you can't distribute the voodooPowerMini kext can you at least look to see if it's in the same directory as NetbookInstaller or NetbookBootMaker and install it?

Yea, it'll require that I go fetch it, but at least everything is installed when/where it should be.

I installed VoodooPowerMini, removed NullCPUPowerManagement and AppleIntelPowerManagement. Speedstep now works, my mini 9 runs cooler, restarts properly, and the audio no longer stops and starts during playback.

Just updated my iMac to 10.6.2. So far . . . so good.

I'll just hover until one or more of the experts here try it on the mini.
