Ran into some issues with it, so I'm starting over. I think that Linux is going to be my big issue at the moment.

For some ppl it didn't work, and the sleepimage was recreated after a reboot.

But for me it worked fine...
I, too get this message at startup.

I'm very new to this 'hackintosh' lark - but it is fantastic!

Would some-one kindly explain how I go about doing the above, please.

Also, when I want to upgrade to NetBookInstaller 0.8.3 (to get some sound, hopefully!), can I just download and install the new NBI over the old one, or do I have to go through the whole install process again?

I'd be grateful if someone could point me in the appropriate direction.

many thanks,

God bless,

Robert

the 2 lines above are terminal commands
So simply fire up a terminal window and enter the first line followed by enter.

Now you have to provide your password, as sudo is a command to run stuff with admin rights.

after that repeat that with the second code line.

Hi Merklord,

thank you for your great job, i'm hoping for an audio fix. No audio in headphone, no mic input.

I tried to use NetBookMaker .8.3 with a SL upgrade image. Will not boot from the USB stick whatsoever to upgrade. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Dell Mini 9
16GB SSD
16GB USB

Hit 0 to boot into the USB Storage option but it just boots into my regular Leopard already installed.

Or can I just run the upgrade image as is to start the process?

If you don't want to use terminal just google for the smartsleep.prefpane.

I ran into a problem. This is my first time attempting to try to install OSX on my 10v with the bios set at A05. I followed the instructions, used SL, and I think I ended up using the NBM 0.8.3 RC1, not the NBI 0.8.3 RC1.

Everything installed and I waited about 45 min to load SL, and when the 10v restarted, I got stuck in the black screen with an error message saying:

PXE-E61: Media test failure, check cable
PXE-M0F: Exiting PXE ROM.
Operation System not found

Can this problem be fixed if I run the NBI??

Thanks

Well, I ran the 0.8.3RC1 and everything seems to work except sleep. After I close the lid and reopen it, it's just a black screen. I've read through the thread and tried peoples' suggestions but no luck.

For reference (for archival purposes), my specs are:
Quote:
Mini 10v | 2GB RAM | 160GB HDD | OSX 10.6.1 | NBI .8.3RC1 | BIOS A06 | USB Wake : Disabled | USB Legacy : Disabled | BlueTooth: Disabled

Other than that, everything seems to work, including audio with both speakers and ear phones. The fix for the jumping trackpad was the big sell for me and for that, I've sent a small donation to the cause. Keep up the good work.

If sleep can be fixed, I'm a happy camper.

Looks like you are booting of the ethernet....
Power back on your mini... at the Dell logo press "0" (zero) it will give you the boot option and make sure HD is selected.

Another possibility is to boot again from USB, and select NBI from TOOLS menu (same menu where Disk Utilities is located)
