On the 10V my SL boot time is about 3x slower than 10.5.8 was.
Same to me!
I have postet this here http://www.mydellmini.com/forum/mac-...tml#post103662

It is a problem which comes with the Mini10v and SnowLeopard. I hope, Meklort can fix this problem

Interesting is I can't get sleep to work or quiet boot. I've enabled it clicked install and rebooted. Did this also in safe mode. I'm not sure what I need to do to fix sleep and get quiet boot back...

Question: What does "quiet boot" mean in NetbookInstaller? I haven't choosen this at all.

Sleep works for me very well. I haven't enabled quiet boot, my system is Mini10v with BiosA04.
In Bios "USB Wake" is disabled, "USB legacy" is disabled, and "Bluetooth" is on.
Try this.

Gets rid of the status screen with the press any key...

I have the same options set on my Mini 9. However sleep doesn't work and somehow I just broke sound.

Anyone know whether the best practice is to run the new release in Safe mode or just run it regularly?

Thanks!

OK here is what happened to me. Totally fresh install of 10.6, BIOS A05, Dell Mini 9, 64GB SSD (stock), 2GB RAM, BT, 1.3MP Cam.

Ran NetBookInstaller 8.3RC1 after install with same version, Battery is working, sound, wifi, BT, all is well. I close the lid and it will not wake up. What settings should be on and off in the BIOS to prevent that?

If you read the release notes, you can see that this is normal... it fixes internal audio for the time being but the audio out does not work.

You can run it according to the instructions in the first post

Download, run, reboot.

Is there a way to replace the audio drivers of this release with the voodoo drivers because I desperately need jackphone and mic-input as well as sleep. I mean, what must I do to get the HDA-Drivers disabled and enable the voodoo ones without getting a kernel panic?
