Do we have to run NBI after we install 10.6 on a Mini9?

The majority of the changes for this verison vs the SL builds are in the boot maker. If you used the latest version for SL, then you don't need to use this.

If you are doing a new install, you just you NetbookBootMaker, there is no need to use NetbookInstaller as NetbookBootMaker takes care of everything.

I made a USB install with the previos version of NBM, can I just apply this one over it, or do I need to make a new SL restore image and then apply this NBM to it?

I don't mind making a new image, but was just trying to save 40 minutes or so of my install time.

I just installed 10.6 yesterday with the version of NetbookBootMaker that was available on this forum.

With the exception of AUDIO, Snow Leopard is working pretty well on my Mini9.

Is this release (8.2a) today a later version than the one I used last night? Do I need to rebuild my boot USB drive and reinstall?

You can run it on top of the prepatched dvd.

There are no real changes between this version and the SL build form yesterday unless if you are doing a new install. No need to reinstall.

Here are my results thus far :

Installed the latest NBI (0.8.2a). Sleep still doesn't work for me.
I re-installed the voodoo.kext to get the audio back.

Thanks for all the hack work! I've been unsuccessfully trying to get this running on my Mini 9. I got as far as the account setup screen. Pinwheeled. Wonder if this will fix it...

If your talking about snow leopard, then yes.
0.8.2 RC4 and before did not support Snow leopard and would result in that pinweal due to the PowerManagment.budle from 10.5 being installed on 10.6 This resulted int eh pinweal as well as battery and wifi not working.

The latest version does not install that file, so it will work fine. Note that audio is not yet supported on the mini 9 and sleep may be dependent on if you are using the default ssd or not (it'll get fixed for 0.8.3 though).
