It's been working from the start but it was not easy to install I had to remove the hard drive fit into a external casing connect to my Mac Pro, install OS, then install Netbookbootmaker and fit back into mini 10v and it worked without sleep, restart and audio the new NBM fixed that.

I installed SL on my Mini 9 last night, and after waiting nearly 5hrs for my Mini to restore the SL DVD to my class 4 16GB SDHC card, everything went off without a problem. Things broken are

VoodooHDA kext gives me audio out, but no audio in
My hard drive shows up as an external and doesn't have a desktop icon.

Other than that, every single thing works (even sleep and reboot with my stock STEC 32GB SSD). I've also noticed quite a large performance increase with everything. GG Apple

Try the preferences of Finder - SL hide the desktop icons by default

rEFIt is an EFI boot manager for native EFI machines. I used it on my MacBook Pro to triple-boot (OS X/Vista/Ubuntu). From what I understand (my Mini 9 comes tomorrow, so I could be plain wrong), the Minis are not native EFI machines, and use a compatibility layer to act like EFI, so it probably won't work. The other thing it does do is syncronize MBR and GPT tables. For example, on my MBP, if I fiddle with the partitions in one OS (usually Vista or Linux), the partition tables aren't synced and I have to manually use rEFIt to fix them.

That's normal. IIRC, Apple Remote Desktop Agent was updated either shortly before or after 10.6 was released. I get the same error when fixing permissions on my MBP running 10.6.

Default No Hard Drive options when installer asks me for my hard drive - 09-09-2009, 11:22 PM

I am trying t install snow leopard and it all works fine until I get to the screen where is says:

Select the disk where you want to install Mac OS X

and there are no options below it...

I am trying to install snow leopard over ubuntu, and trying to install with the previous version just created kernel panic...

Did you open Disk Utility and format the drive?

Actually, I wasn't trying to use the program itself specifically, I just wanted the file within it to synchronize my MBR/GPT tables. I found it and used it and I was right about why my Win7 install wasn't working, the tables were off and that fixed them so it was quite useable in what I needed it for. So no, natively the Mini cannot use rEFIt itself, but it can use certain files included with it to diagnose problems and potentially fix them.

Question BIOS resets every time - 09-10-2009, 03:21 AM

I wasn't sure if anyone else has had this issue, but ever since I installed SL, my BIOS settings are reset after every restart. I know the guide said this would happen after the initial boot and install from the USB drive, but it's been happening ever since and I'm just booting from the SSD as normal.

Anyone else run into this?
