Follow the steps detailed in the first post.

The NetbookBootMaker should handle all of the patching during the installation...

if you feel more comfortable by installing and then rebooting into the install DVD and running NetbookInstaller from the Utilities, then be my guest (it is just redundant and not necessary since it will do the same thing that NetbookBootMaker does during the install process as a postinstall AFAIK)

To fix it, you don't need to modify anything. Open your SL install image and go to the /extras folder. You'll see a folder there called GeneralExtensions. If you try and open it, you'll fail. Copy it to your desktop, right click, get info. Click the lock in the bottom right and authenticate. Change all the permissions to the folder to read/write. Open the folder and drop those Kexts into mkexttool and then drop the extensions.mkext it yields into your /extra folder on the SL disk. I'm presently in the installer, will post as to how it goes.
This seems to be working for me; thanks so much. For anyone with an A90, the folder in /extras is called something like A90Ext, not GeneralExtensions.

Ok. After install i seem to be where the OP says i should be. Everything seems to be working great save the Audio (which it recognizes, but doesn't let you do anything with...) and the sleep (which if you attempt to sleep...you will have to reboot to get out of the black screen you arrive in. Graphics seems to be fully accelerated, it sees my full Proc (though obviously doesn't call it Atom), Ram, and HD. Now to wait for someone to figure out why Audio and Sleep are borked.

That's strange, Looks like you found a temporary fix.

Could someone send me and output of NetbookBootMaker (in console.app) so I can see what's happening differently on my machine vs everyone elses.

I should still be able to fix it w/o the output and i'll look into it tonight.

Just some feedback while I continue testing. I did an upgrade after creating the Extension.kext & all booted fine. I have sound, though at the mo it's stuttering like it did on the initial install on 10.5.8 so just need to figure out how to re-patch the sound.. well of to test further. Thanks again

Thank you for explaining to everyone. I'm at work and had to leave my desk. I just got back so I'm catching up on posts.

I got through the installer and have an account created. Almost to the desktop... will give feedback in a minute.

OK. Done. I'm all good. Cept for audio and sleep. I did a clean install on a USB stick. Now I'm going to try and upgrade my internal 10.5.8 SSD.
