I have a problem. I patched the retail DVd with netbookBootMaker then booted with a mini 9 but it makes a kernel after the apple appears. What I am doing wrong?

Similar result to pipposanta.

Kernal panic trying to boot the install image from USB drive.

Downgraded to bios A04, same result.

100% fool-proof guide (10.5.8) here I come!

Default Stuck at Welcome to Mac Wizard! (Can't load Safe mode) - 09-02-2009, 11:39 AM

Here's one for you experts...

I have 10.6 running on my 10v the audio works, the display works, even the keyboard works with the volume/brightness keys.

How do you bypass the welcome to mac screen? I get beachballed to death when it is trying to migrate data from another mac (i choose do not transfer).

This seems like a common problem. What is the best way to solve it?

My Mini 10v ends in a kernel pani.c when attempting to boot in safe mode (-x)

EDIT: Solved!

Excellent post

Is there a corresponding modified NetbookInstaller that goes with the modified NetbookBootMaker?

*Update*

I have not had the opportunity to test this yet, but I was talking closely with meklort last night when he was finalizing NBM and while I created this little "guide".

Just to be sure, is everyone using a retail Snow Leopard DVD? ("Upgrade Disk" is fine)

Yes there will be NBI coming out in time. For the time being, NBM should be able to work fine. If you need to re-run NBM for any reason you can simply boot to your install media (USB boot) and run NBI from Utilities on the disk.

I am trying to find a way to easily display this... so I do not have to manually check the MDM paypal and post it some place.

We are shooting for $370, anything over this amount will be held in reserve for future projects/developmental needs.
