boot with -v -f
That should fix the ramdisk errors (you wont have to do this once installed)

That is, unless if mechdrew gets to it first.
Thanks meklort - between you and mechdrew it seems it's usually just a matter of time. I've got a 32GB RunCore on order and want to set up an entirely different configuration of SL and Ubuntu on it than I currently have on my 16GB STEC with Leopard. Of course, I could just spring for the 8GB USB drive but between already owning a compatible external DVD drive and having my RunCore on pre-order, I'll venture by the time the RunCore actually arrives you both will have something in place.

Very kindly, keep up the great work, and don't forget to actually take a real break over Labor Day weekend!

I'll probably take a day off for labor day, but I also get tuesday off so I'll definitely be working on it then.

Mount the SL disk, and open it so you're looking at the Snow Leopard image and the installer and then Command, Shift, G. You can set what those keys are in the Keyboard pref pane if you're unsure of what your version of those keys are (or you can experiment). After that add "/Extra" to the path. You should be good.

Install worked perfect. Repaired permissions but still no sound. In the extra folder should it be called extensions or does it matter?

The one directory we *don't* use is /Extra/Extensions as chameleon will try to load extensions there if it can. The /Extra/Extensions.mkext file includes any extensions in /Extra/Mini10vExt / Mini9Ext or GeneralExtensions as well as any dependencies from /S/L/E.

When the dependencies aren't included, bad things happen (kexts don't load), so we only let chameleon load /E/Extenisons.mkext.

Default Waking from sleep is my only issue - 09-03-2009, 02:41 AM

Installed 10.6 as instructed...did an upgrade to my 10.5.8. Everything works, including sound! The only issue I am having at all is that it doesn't wake from sleep. I have to hold the power button to do a complete restart. I'm sure this will be sorted out, though. I am running on a mini 10v with bios A05, in case you care.
