The Keyboard and Mouse preferences are available. Tried installing the Synaptics prefpane using touchpad V18.2 installer but that crashed the system. I was able to retieve the situation by taking out the drive and restoring the extra folders from a backup. (Easy to do having opened the machine once to install more memory. The next time is easy. I have a usb to sata adapter on my desktop mac.) |

Sorry to say that, but even with your tweaked driver the thing still handles horribly in my opinion, especially considering that the original approach of DellEFI was close to perfection, already. Those who don't know what I mean by that, I'm talking about the "Restore 10.5.5 preference pane" which made the tap-clicking/dragging options appear, but kept the original Apple touchpad kext. This actually worked better than it ever did on Windows. If anyone could find a way to bring that functionality back (at least as an option for 10v users), I'd be really happy. I don't care about two-finger scrolling, anyway. |

Navigate to contents > resources > extentions and copy ApplePS2Controller.kext to extra/mini10vext/ (backup the current driver to be on the safe side). Run update extra and reboot and you'll be running the older driver. It is, however, impossible to provide side-scrolling or any other advanced features with this driver. If you want the 10.5.5 prefpane it's located in the prefpanes/ folder in the DellEFI package, however I'm not quite sure how to install it. I assume it goes somewhere in system/library/. You'll have to search around a bit for the correct location. edit: system/library/preferencepanes |

As long as Audio after Sleep isn't working with with NetbookInstaller, I would like to stick with DellEFI10v, as I use sleep way more then a shutdown/reboot. edit: ok, meklort already posted a link in the 8.3RC1 thread. ![]() |

You then drag-n-drop the kext in /Extras and run UpdateExtras.app ![]() Meklort's Blog | NBI Google Code Page | osx.mechdrew.com -- the best OSX installation guides |
