Also it seems I am able to get it to incorrectly access the new correction code by simply dragging my finger very fast across the trackpad (or at the very least it'll stop dead until i change direction). I am running netbook installer .8.2 rc4. |

Is that what's on netbookbootmaker/installer 0.8.2 RC4? If it's v18, should I replace it with v18.2 and then do the patched ktext in the first page? |

You can simply drop that into the Extras folder, remove the old touchpad driver and then run UpdateExtras.app ![]() that is the solution I plan to take when I attempt this tonight I am hoping reverting back (if needed) will be as simple as rerunning NetbookInstaller to get the 10v kexts back. The main reason why this isn't included in NetbookInstaller (at the moment) is it causes a few issues with the touched on the mini 9 (for me at least). I tried to adapt it to wokr on both however I haven't looked at it for a while (preoccupied), so I'll probably include that kext in the next version of NetbookInstaller for the 10v only. I'll still try to integrate it with the mini 9, however if I'm unable to do that I'll just make it detect the 10v and enable the patch automatically. After loading your kext, running UpdateExtras and rebooting I took some time to play around with the updated kext. Here are my findings : 1. Side scrolling is practically rendered useless because of the acceleration detection and smoothing functionality that has been added. 2. This also seems to have reduced tracking speed and not allow me to use my trackpad like I am accustomed to. The tracking seems off because when I quickly try to move my cursor the kext detects it and renders my movement as null ![]() 3. The kext does improve the tactile button clicking Overall, I really appreciate the development and the effort but I am reverting back to the standard touchpad kext in .8.2RC4 because normal tracking and trackpad operation is affected to much. I cannot sacrifice that. It seems like the losses outweigh the gains in this so far... Keep up the work. I am hoping for the best!
