Hi,

Am I alone in thinking that about 80% (or possibly more) of new posts in the "Mini 10v Discussion" area should really be in the "Mac OS X" section?

I know there is a lot of interest in "Hackintoshing" and in Snow Leopard etc. but the enthusiasts for these systems do seem to have almost taken over the site!

Maybe that's fine, but as Dell never really intended Minis to be used for that purpose anyway, there is (I think!) still a 'hard core' user base who is perfectly happy working in Windows, be it XP or Windows 7, and who feel like I do, in that it would be nice to have at least one section (other that "Windows 7" one itself, which we could call our own.

It is probably too late to do anything about it now, and as I have said before this is a really great forum, with a good team behind it, but what I am now seeing is not quite why I joined in the first place!

I am not really moaning... well perhaps I am, just a bit ... but I do have a feeling that I am not alone here... or am I?

I've been moving Hackintosh posts out of the Mini 9 section to the OS X on Mini 9 section, but I don't typically go into the 10v sections. I agree that the hackintoshers, especially the newbies who have only read Gizmodo, don't notice the OS X sections here.

I'll make it a point to look at the 10v sections as well and will move threads out.

Hmm I may move the Operating systems sections up a bit, or maybe a link/sticky in the 9/10v forums to their os x counterpart.

A good idea... as long as new posters will actually bother to read it first!

I think that Steve (or whoever) is being kept quite busy at the moment, moving posts to their correct location.

Edit: I have just been thinking about you saying that you might move the Operating Systems up a bit.

That might actually help, as they would then be seen 'first', as it were, and I often think that perhaps now the OS being used is of more importance than the actual model it is being installed on.

Yes, that's me moving all the OS X posts, and it does keep me busy. I'm hoping that eventually people will get the idea, though there's all these newbies.
