I have been composing/editing messages & wondered if a cancel button would be a good thing to have on the page?

Maybe the cancel button could take you back to the message you were viewing?

It's not a big deal because when I don't want to do something (like editing/deleting the post I thought I wanted to edit/delete but changed my mind), I just click the Forum link at the top or another link at the top to get out of it without changing any thing.

It's just a thought.

I normally either close the tab/window I'm working in or press the back button myself. Works just the same as what you proposed.
