This way I can run the script, load an application and then not worry about having to set it back to default. defaults write -g AppleDisplayScaleFactor 0.8 sleep 15 defaults write -g AppleDisplayScaleFactor 1 |

I tried the app to scale the resolution 80% but it still is not enough, so it seems it would need to be scaled even more....any thoughts? Or has anyone tried or know the exact amount to be scaled or could write a simple program specifically for launching garageband? Thanks a lot. |

It won't let you resize the garageband window but like Mercury Mover it will let you move the window up past the menu bar. It might be faster because it lets you do it with the mouse and a hot key. |
