Got XP installed but now I'm running into a problem with the OSX install. I think it might be related to me using DellMiniBoot123v8.02b1.iso instead of the Boot132 ISO that the OP called for. Which Boot132 ISO should I use? I tried googling for it but found a bunch of different ones. There's no link in the OP. So here's a brief summary of what I did: Mini9 with USB DVD and USB HD. 1. Booted off GParted and created 3 primary partitions (P1 - 200MB HFS+, P2 - 15GB HFS+, P3 - 13.5GB NTFS) 2. Booted off XP Install CD and installed XP on P3. Rebooted and XP seems to boot OK. 3. Went to a Mac and imaged the OSX Install DVD onto the USB HD, modified it according to the OP. 4. Booted off DellMiniBoot123v8.02b1 and pointed it to the USB HD ("device 80"). 5. The installer booted and I proceeded to install OSX onto P2 but the installer gave an error ("install failed") at the end - "Unable to set "OSX" as boot disk". 6. I then removed the USB HD, booted off DellMiniBoot123v8.02b1, and pointed it to the SSD ("device 80") and gave it "-f" as a boot option. 7. The unit booted into OSX and everything looked good but when I shutdown and remove the USB DVD and powered up, I get a "Error Loading Operating System" error. So I screwed something up but I'm not sure where. Thanks to everyone for their help so far. Triple Boot: Windows 7 | OSX 10.6 | XP

Now when I reboot, I get a "System config /com.apple.Boot.plist not found" error. Am now trying to reinstall XP to see if resetting the boot sector & active partition will make any difference. | Senior Member Posts: 291 Join Date: Apr 2009 | What was the trick? I re-installed XP and then dropped back into OSX to re-run DellEFI1.1 to re-install the PCEFIV9 bootloader. Made sure that the 2nd partition (OSX) had the boot flag using GParted but still am getting a "System config /com.apple.Boot.plist not found" error. Perhaps I should wipe and start from scratch. Couple of questions: 1. Should I be using DellMiniBoot123v8.02b1.iso? 2. Should I use DellEFI1.1 or DellEFI1.2b5? 3. As I'm booting off DellMiniBoot123v8.02b1.iso, I noticed that the "System config /com.apple.Boot.plist not found" error pops up as well. Is there a BIOS setting or something that I need to set? I'm running A04. Do I need to downgrade or upgrade? Thanks! Triple Boot: Windows 7 | OSX 10.6 | XP |

Just use the boot132 cd to boot into OSX and then install Dell EFI and you should be done. Quad booting OS X, Vista, XP, & Ubuntu 8.10.
