I tried to copy and format an 8GB USB but had the issue of it being a bit too small. I have now hooked up my Runcore to my laptop via USB and I currently am formatting and writting the image to the Runcore. Is this going to work? I know, I probably should have looked into it before I starting formating, but oh well. Any tips? |

Transmac: Mount .dmg Image .dmg to your 8GB USB drive Windows: Format a 128mb+ usb disk Download syslinux Extract syslinux Open cmd and navigate to syslinux syslinux -ma x: x=128mb+ USB drive letter Mount Dellminiboot123.iso Copy Dellminiboot123 files to USB disk, make sure not to overwrite any files Put the 128MB USB in the left USB port Put the 8GB USB drive in the right USB port Make sure legacy USB is off in the BIOS Restart your mini boot to USB When it prompts you to boot hit enter When it ask what drive, I had to use 81, but try 80 if that doesn't work After you are done, you will need to get DellEFI installed. As far as I have made it. I know the guides are around here, but they all seem extremely complex and it really wasn't. Anyone know a good newsreader? |
