Default recommendations for SD card brands, pro and con? - 06-17-2009, 04:57 AM

I'm thinking of getting a couple of 16 or 32 gb cards to store my music library on, meaning they may get a lot of reading compared to regular data storage. Would be interested in hearing recommendations or horror stories before making a purchase. Any recommends on companies/deals also appreciated.

I don't think you can go wrong with high speed card from popular brands like SanDisk and Kingston. Just beware of fake cards (quite common in Ebay). However the worst thing that could happen is only the lost of all data in the card. It happened to my Walker SD card once.

My SanDisk Ultra II has been a real trooper. It's a bit more exensive, but I believe it's worth it. It's also fast enough for my needs.

I think SanDisk makes the best SD cards.
