Default xbox hd dvd - 06-10-2009, 04:49 PM

i read on the forum that we can use a xbox hd dvd player as our external drive. will the xbox drive be able to load different program cds for installation like iWork and iLife, and printer installation cds?

I used mine on Saturday to load up the Dell image and it worked flawlessly.

Yes, it works fine in OS X, both for install and after installation is complete. For best results, plug usb cord into usb port nearest the power connection.

IMHO, best drive for the money. It is the same footprint as the whole mini, but I just set my mini on top of the drive during OS installs.
